what is man ​clan​?

Man Clan is a club, dedicated to men. Our aim is to ​bring them together in a conscious way to do the ​work.


Barry and Dougie have both been there, hit their rock ​bottom and had to make changes. Because they went ​at it alone, it was a scattergun approach, trying ​anything and everything with no structure, which ​made that road to recovery longer and more difficult ​than I needed to be, but they both got there at ​different points and decided to start Man Clan2.0 to ​help men improve their lives with structure and ​support that they didn’t have.


Why Are we Different?

In 2024 there is more awareness and ​understanding of mens mental health. There ​are more talking support groups than ever, ​yet male suicides are still on the rise.


Talking is a great and necessary step but at ​some point, talk becomes cheap and action ​is required.

The HEroes Journey

We offer a 9-week development course for men who are action ​takers, ready to improve and invest in themselves to be the men ​their families (kingdoms) need them to be.

The course we call, “The Hero’s Journey” is conducted online with ​weekly online check in meetings as we endeavour to reach all men ​from all over. The course culminates in a Men’s Rite of Passage ​weekend where we are together face to face.


Here are the 5 guarantees we give to every man who steps up and ​does the work:

1. You’ll become more resilient.

2. You’ll garner emotional intelligence.

3. You’ll develop physical robustness.

4. You’ll become more capable by learning new skills.

5. Self-discovery—you’ll be able to answer the two fundamental ​questions every man asks himself: Who am I? & Am I capable?



LIFT, RUN, Ruck

Why, Lift, Run, Ruck? At man clan we believe that doing these 3 things can truly make you a more functional person for life in general and they support all other sports aswell. You will be healthier, fitter, be able to play with your kids and done consistently over years, you will be playing with your grandkids too and enjoying a longer more adventurous life.


Lift

Man Clan have their very own gym that is for man Clan members only. Here we will be focusing on “Powerlifting” which consists of 3 types of lifts - Squat, Bench, and Deadlift. Aswell as having other sections and equipment for assistance work and cardio. This is also our hub/ meeting point for most events like running and rucking. Dougie & Barry are both British Powerlifting coaches, so you are in safe hands.


Run

Running is another great way to get in shape or improve your fitness. We run regular groups runs suitable for all abilities.


Ruck

At Man Clan, we have recently become part of the Global GORUCK Club.

But what is Rucking?

RUCK-ING[VERB] carrying a weighted pack on your back. It implies action, energy and purpose.


Rucking is part of the foundations used to train in Special Forces. Shouldering heavy rucks

through cities, mountains, jungles and deserts. It builds strength, endurance, resilience and character.


The best part about rucking is, everyone can do it. Whether you are just looking to start getting active or to support your current sport/ exercise routine, rucking is for you!
